Angela York has served as the Executive Director of THRIVE Peninsula since 2016. Since then the organization has increased all of its programs by 500% under Angela’s leadership, including emergency financial assistance, financial coaching, and food pantry services. Angela developed a strong desire to non-profit work while at college, after going on a 7-week mission trip to Cairo, Egypt where her team helped teach English to Sudanese Refugees. This experience inspired her to dedicate her career to creating a better future for the world through non-profit work. Angela holds a Masters Degree in Community Leadership and a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations. Outside of working at THRIVE, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and son, watching the Philadelphia Eagles play, and doing activities with her book club.
